Nick was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 2009 and was a Senior Associate in the commercial disputes groups of two large national law firms. During this time, his practice was focused in the Supreme Court and the Federal Court in a broad range of commercial disputes. These included large-scale disputes involving claims arising out of infrastructure and technology projects and significant corporate transactions.
As a solicitor, Nick gained extensive experience in corporations law disputes, including breaches of director’s duties and shareholder oppression suits. Other areas of expertise include insolvency actions, partnership disputes, competition, consumer and trade practices claims, equity and trusts suits, including for breaches of confidence and fiduciary duty. Nick has also practised extensively in property disputes and in claims for infringement of intellectual property rights.
Since his admission to the NSW Bar in 2018, Nick has broadened his practice beyond the areas outlined above to include construction and security of payment claims, cross-border disputes and commercial arbitrations.
Nick's special areas of interest are corporate and commercial law, competition, consumer and trade practices law, and property law.
Nick graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with First Class Honours in Law and a bachelor’s degree in Arts and Communications in 2008.
